Sourcing on demand
The website is a sample. The bench is a network.
What you see online is a curated slice of what is moving through the bench right now. The full Etkind operation reaches further: De Beers DBCM viewings in Johannesburg, the State Diamond Trader, tender houses in Kimberley, Wolmaransstad and Schweizer Reneke, and twenty years of independent-digger relationships. If you have a brief, we source to it.

What we source
- Loose diamonds. Round brilliant, princess, oval, pear, emerald, cushion, marquise, radiant, asscher, heart. 0.30 ct to 10 ct +. D to K colour. IF to SI2 clarity. GIA Excellent / AGS Ideal cut grade as default; lower cut grades on request.
- Matched pairs and parcels. Stud-pair matched on carat, colour, clarity, cut and fluorescence. Calibrated parcels (melee and side-stones) for trade and bespoke.
- Fancy colours. Yellow, brown / champagne, and the harder pinks and blues on enquiry. KP-compliant, certified provenance.
- Fine jewellery. Engagement rings, eternity bands, tennis bracelets, pendants, earrings, signed pieces. 18 kt gold (white, yellow, rose) and platinum 950, made on the Bedfordview bench or sourced from trusted SA partners.
- Inherited and reset commissions. Take an existing piece apart, recut the stone if it improves the grade, remount in a contemporary setting. Insurance-replacement work welcome.
How a sourcing brief works
- 01
Brief
Phone, email, WhatsApp, or in-person at the viewing room. Tell us shape, carat range, colour range, clarity range, budget, and any deadline. The more specific the brief, the faster the answer.
- 02
Match against current rough and polished
We check what is on the Procut DCW bench, what is on the Prodiam Trading polished shelf, and what is coming up at the next De Beers DBCM viewing. If a match exists you have a quote within 48 hours.
- 03
If no match, we go to market
We approach the State Diamond Trader, SA tender houses, and independent-digger contacts. For finer goods we also reach into the DDCSA and WFDB networks. Most briefs return at least one option within 5 to 10 working days.
- 04
Inspection and certification
You see the stone under loupe and microscope at the viewing room, or by high-resolution video and lab certificate remotely. GIA report supplied; EGL on request. The same building houses GIA South Africa for any re-grading.
- 05
Settle and deliver
EFT, Yoco card, PayFast, or SWIFT wire. Insured overnight delivery within South Africa via Brink’s or G4S; jewellery-grade insured international dispatch via Ferrari Group or FedEx Custom Critical with full customs paperwork.
Why sourcing through Prodiam is bench-priced
Most SA buyers transact through layers: importer, wholesaler, retailer, mark-up, mark-up, mark-up. Prodiam is the manufacturer. Procut DCW is the bench. There are no layers between the De Beers viewing room and the price you pay. That is a logistical fact, not a marketing line. See how the EBC structure makes this possible.
What we will not source
- Lab-grown / synthetic diamonds. We are a natural-diamond house.
- Moissanite, cubic zirconia, or any simulant.
- Stones without lab certification of established provenance.
- Anything outside Kimberley Process compliance.
Send a brief
The faster way: a single message with shape, carat range, colour range, clarity range, budget, deadline. We come back within 48 hours, almost always with a stone or a clear timeline.
