We are a working bench, so we can make essentially anything: a design off this page, one of these changed, a piece you have seen elsewhere, a drawing, a photograph, or an heirloom reset into something new. How a diamond pendant is made to order

    Stone shape and weight, colour and clarity range, the setting, the metal, the chain length, your budget and your date. We reply within a working day.

    Choose the stone

    From the grid above or the full search: you approve the stone from its report and a live video viewing, at a landed rand price.

  3. 03

    Make and set

    The setting and bail cast in 18k white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum; the stone set at the bench; the chain fitted; hand-polished and checked under the microscope.

  4. 04

    Hand over

    Collect in Bedfordview by appointment, or insured overnight courier anywhere in South Africa. Certificates and an insurance valuation included.

How much does a diamond pendant necklace cost in South Africa?

The stone sets most of the price, then the setting, the chain and the metal. On 2 September 2026 the pendant-weight stones on our bench ran from R9 700 to R88 800, VAT and insured delivery included, before the setting and chain. We quote the setting and the chain as a separate, firm rand figure before any work begins.

What is the difference between a diamond pendant and a diamond necklace?

A pendant is one piece hung on a chain, usually a single diamond in a solitaire, bezel or halo setting; a diamond necklace carries diamonds along the chain itself, as in a tennis or station necklace. This page is pendants; see the diamond necklaces page for lines of stones.

Is the chain included?

The pendant is quoted with a fine 18k chain in the same metal, and you choose the length; the chain is part of the firm quote, not an extra at the end.

Can you make a three-stone or journey pendant?

Yes. Three round diamonds in a vertical line, graduated small to large, or a trilogy across, are made to order the same way as a solitaire pendant: you choose the stones from the reports, we set them on the Bedfordview bench.

Can I buy a diamond pendant from outside Johannesburg?

Yes. You choose the stone from its report and a live video viewing, approve the setting and chain by WhatsApp or email, and the finished pendant is delivered by insured overnight courier anywhere in South Africa, with the certificate and an insurance valuation.
