What a round diamond actually costs in South Africa.
We are a diamond dealer in Bedfordview, not a jeweller marking up someone else's stock. Right now we can source 18 certified round diamonds starting at R13 012. Every price below is the full landed price in rands: VAT, shipping into South Africa and payment costs are already in it, and there is nothing to add at the end.

Is a round good value right now?
We hold sourced stones to the same standard as the diamonds in our own safe. Measured across the whole certified market we can reach, about 45 in every 100 round diamonds meets that standard. Rounds carry the deepest market and the tightest pricing. Nearly half meet our value standard, which is respectable for the most in-demand shape there is.
That is why the search marks stones we would not recommend, and offers you better ones at the same spec. We would rather lose a sale than sell you a stone we would not buy ourselves.

Twenty-five years in the trade, and the honest advice is the same every time: talk to us first. We may have something similar in the safe in Bedfordview that never reaches the website, or a better stone for the same money. If you know exactly what you want, buy it from the search.
